Artista urbano, pintor y escultor afincado en Getafe.<br /><a title="Sitio Web de dEmo" href="https://demoartist.es/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">dEmo</a>, su nombre artístico, es uno de los artistas españoles más originales e internacionales, un creador multidisciplinar con una estética inconfundible que hunde sus raíces en el POP. En los últimos años sus obras se han convertido en presencia, casi constante, en los exteriores de museos y galerías de todo el mundo.<br />dEmo logra encontrar dobles lecturas y transformar en auténticos iconos elementos cotidianos y objetos que invitan al juego. Esta iconización de lo domestico y el uso de colores vibrantes son las principales señas de identidad de su trabajo. Osos, patos, buzos, payasos, bailarinas, flores, rinocerontes, gatos, robots que pueden llegar a alcanzar enormes dimensiones, forman parte del paisaje urbano que propone dEmo, escultor que seduce al público a través de la sonrisa, sin perder de vista que la escultura no es un objeto, sino un interrogante y un motor del pensamiento.

Filiberto Montagud Díaz
Description

Filiberto Montagud Díaz (1877, Barcelona - 1963, Madrid).<br />Dibujante, pintor, escultor, ilustrador, actor de teatro y decorador de cine. Por recomendación de su amigo Juan Bautista Bergua se traslada a Getafe en 1912, a una pequeña finca situada cerca del Cuartel de Artillería, junto a la suya. Su principal fuente de ingresos eran los dibujos e ilustraciones para diarios y semanarios. También fue caricaturista, libretista y sainetero.<br />Fue todo un personaje que llegó a ser concejal de Getafe, desde donde impulsó la creación de una fábrica de juguetes y editó un períodico comarcal. Se le vincula con la creación de uno de los primeros equipos de futbol de Getafe en 1923.<br />Los dos ángeles custodios del monumento de la Virgen de los Angeles que cada año se montaban en la Catedral de la Magdalena, son obra suya.<br />Su familia (nietos y biznietos) siguen viviendo en Getafe.

Daniel Urrabieta Vierge (5 de marzo de 1851, Getafe – 10 de mayo de 1904, Boulogne Sur Seine, Francia).
Pintor, grabador, litografista y dibujante, hijo de Vicente Urrabieta y Juana Vierge, al igual que sus hermanos, Samuel y Lola, tuvo las mismas inquietudes artísticas que su padre.
Formado en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Madrid hacia 1869 marchó a París.
En Getafe realizó 257 ilustraciones para El Quijote. También dibuja escenas de la guerra franco-prusiana, de la Comuna de Paris, 54 ilustraciones de las Guerras Carlistas, etc.
Victor Hugo le encarga ilustrar muchas de sus obras. Hizo 91 ilustraciones del Buscón de Quevedo y del Lazarillo de Tormes.
Hacia 1881 ó 1882 sufre una hemiplejia pero sigue pintando con la mano izquierda.
Su obra está en el Louvre y cotizándose al alza en las mejores galerías del mundo

En 1943, junto a sus padres y hermano mayor, se trasladan a Getafe donde han vivido desde entonces.
Su obra pictórica se distingue esencialmente por el realismo y colorido en sus cuadros. Además de participar en numerosos certámenes, también ha intervenido como jurado en algunos de ellos. Ha realizado exposiciones por toda España: Madrid, Zaragoza, Benalmádena, Marbella, etc
Su pintura al oleo refleja el realismo de los paisajes urbanos de Zaragoza, Belchite, Madrid, Ciudad Real y otros, pero sobre todo de Getafe, del que tiene una extensa obra que plasma en detalle muchas de sus calles, en la que ha pintado el pueblo en más de 120 obras, que expresan la situación del mismo desde los años 20 hasta ahora. Ha pintado temas religiosos, en su mayoría copias, para iglesias.
Tiene numerosos retratos que reflejan con gran realismo y fidelidad a las personas retratadas. Ha pintado también numerosos bodegones, de casi todos los estilos, con un realismo y colorido excepcional, por cierto, algunos de ellos muy cotizados. Pero además ha sido durante bastantes años copista en el Museo del Prado, con una extensa obra de copias de los mejores pintores, como Caravaggio, Mabuse, Goya, Rubens, Murillo, Claudio de Lorena, Oracio Gentileschi y otros. Esto le ha permitido llevar su obra hasta Europa y Estados Unidos.
